For the construction of a state-of-the-art factory building, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager (m/f/d) for the Facility Management sub-project, Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA), and Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) systems. In this key role, you will be responsible for the technical and organizational implementation of a strategically important large-scale project and make a significant contribution to creating a future-oriented infrastructure for modern semiconductor manufacturing.
The position includes the technical, organizational, and schedule-related coordination of all topics related to construction and building services engineering.
A key focus of the role is serving as the central communication interface and coordinating activities between the general contractor, the site's Facility Management team, other sub-project managers, and the project manager responsible for this sub-project.
- Responsible for validating planning activities and reviewing developed concepts within the overall project through internal coordination.
- Manage interfaces between construction, architecture, MEP systems, production, logistics, occupational health and safety, and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and technical standards.
- Review and approve design documents, bills of quantities, and technical specifications.
- Evaluate technical concepts and optimize them with regard to supply reliability (redundancy), energy efficiency, sustainability, and operating costs.
- Take responsibility for the integration of MEP systems, including heating and cooling, ventilation, air conditioning, gases, water and wastewater, electrical systems, instrumentation and control (I&C), security systems, and fire protection.
- Ensure compliance with current requirements for modern semiconductor manufacturing, state-of-the-art technology, FM Global standards, and other relevant regulations.
- Monitor construction activities and MEP installations on site.
- Conduct construction meetings, acceptance tests, quality inspections, and progress reviews.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Prepare status reports, risk assessments, and decision papers for project management.
- Ensure complete technical documentation for handover and operation.
- Support commissioning activities, functional testing, and handover to Facility Management and Production.
- Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facility Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience managing construction or MEP projects, ideally in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Sound knowledge of HOAI, VOB, technical standards, and approval processes.
- Experience working with consulting engineers, general contractors, and authorities.
- Strong project management skills and a structured approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills and assertiveness.
- Solution-oriented mindset and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
- Strong team player with a confident and professional presence when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
