YOUR ROLE
The Director of Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the hotel’s integrated marketing, public relations, and communications strategy. This position ensures brand consistency, elevates the property’s image in the luxury lifestyle sector, and drives engagement through innovative campaigns. By leading strategic initiatives across media relations, digital marketing, partnerships, and content creation, this role directly impacts revenue growth, guest loyalty, and market positioning. You will report directly to the Managing Director, collaborating closely with corporate brand teams, operations, and external partners.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE

Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations strategy aligned with Rosewood’s vision and brand standards.

Oversee all hotel marketing activities and digital eco system, including publications, media relations, property programming, partnerships, retail, events, digital marketing, website content strategy, UX-driven storytelling, SEO performance CRM, eCommerce, social media, and content creation.

Establish, monitor and track core communications KPIs, including Earned Media Value, Share of Voice, sentiment analysis and engagement metrics

Act as the hotel’s primary representative for media, influencers, and KOLs; host press events, interviews, and trips to drive coverage and build relationships.

Manage editorial direction, storytelling, and profiling of key spokespersons; oversee production and distribution of all publications.

Lead agency management for PR, marketing, and social media, including RFP processes, onboarding, and performance evaluation.

Identify and secure strategic partnerships in lifestyle, fashion, and retail sectors to enhance brand positioning.

Ensure all print and digital materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency.

Oversee social media strategy, content production, and performance reporting across all channels.

Support Talent & Culture initiatives by promoting the hotel’s philosophy internally and managing LinkedIn strategy.

Lead crisis communications planning and execution.

Present monthly, quarterly, and annual plans and results to key stakeholders, including corporate brand teams and property leadership.

Monitor market trends and conduct research to inform strategy and maintain competitive positioning.

Manage annual communications budget, ensuring ROI-driven decisions and alignment with corporate guidelines.

Foster a high-performance team culture through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.

Monitor and analyze key communications KPIs such as EMV, Share of Voice, engagement, and sentiment, translating insights into strategic actions and continuous optimization.

Oversee and guide agency partnerships across PR, social, creative, and digital, ensuring alignment with brand standards and best-in-class execution.

Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, working closely with Managing Director, Corporate teams, Sales, and Revenue to ensure integrated and aligned strategies.

Stay ahead of market trends and competitive positioning, proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen the hotel’s presence within the luxury landscape.

Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing communications team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence.
