Position Description
· Actively contributes to chemical development projects with laboratory work
· Responsible for delivering high quality experimental work with the guidance of their project lead to meet project targets
· Contributes to troubleshooting, experimental design, and scientific problem solving within chemical development projects
· Clearly present and communicate results to customers, represent their own project on customer meetings
· Documents their experimental work at a high standard and in compliance with set expectations
· Maintains a safe and tidy work environment in their own work area, complies with all Health and Safety rules and expectations
· Supports development of practical, scalable, and reproducible synthetic processes suitable for further development and manufacturing
Qualifications
Technical skills
· Synthetic laboratory skills: experience with running reactions, isolations and purifications (flash chromatography, crystallization, distillation) on mg to g scale
· Knowledge of current analytical tools and result evaluation: NMR, HPLC/GC-MS, etc.
· Data analysis, documentation and reporting experience
· User level experience with MS Office applications and some scientific software

· Team player: Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary project teams.
· Ownership: owns their area of responsibilities, independently and proactively organizes ways of working to suit team goals.
· Learning ability: interested in learning new skills and techniques related to laboratory work and practical scientific problem solving.

Experience
· MSc in Chemistry with thesis project in Organic Chemistry is required, prior technical qualification such as Ausbildung or equivalent experience is beneficial.
· Professional proficiency in English and German (or willingness to learn German)
· Experience working in a chemical process development related area is a plus
