The aftercare aide is responsible for assisting with the younger students after nap time and before parent pick up.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Helping with wake up after nap time and the transition to the afternoon classroom.

Monitoring snack time, making sure the students stay seated, wash their hands and respect their classmates during snack time.

Cleaning up after snack time and at the end of the day-wiping down tables, tidying toys, and sweeping the floor.

Monitoring play.

Communicating concerns with the teacher.

Supporting the teacher in creating and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Assisting teacher in preparing materials, anticipating what is needed, and keeping things organized.

Promoting the school in a positive manner.

Demonstrating a consistent and professional attitude toward the accomplishment of school and program goals.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Preschool experience preferred.

Must be fluent in English.

Must be 15+.

Ability to work with a varied age of children.

Ability to work as part of a team.
-
Supervised by the Afterschool Program Coordinator and Director.
Working hours:
We are closed on German and American holidays. The position averages 10-30 hours per week depending on the agreed-upon schedule.
