WE'RE HIRING
People & Office Manager with a French Focus (Part-Time, m/f/d)
We are bannerstop GmbH, an online retailer for large-format print products with more than 15 years on the market. We're proud to personally serve over 100,000 customers by now. Our team of about 70 works across three locations: Cologne, Katowice (Poland), and Nantes (France). Under our banderolestop brand, we serve the French market, and that's exactly where we need you.
Your role
You'll be the go-to person for all HR topics for our French team and additionally support our colleagues across the DACH region. You'll handle sick leave, vacation planning, employment contracts, and monthly payroll as the bridge between our team, management, and our tax office. On top of that, our working environment matters to you: you make sure our Cologne office is a welcoming and pleasant place to work. You also organize our team events, from the summer party to our international Christmas celebration.
What you'll do
- HR administration for our French team (banderolestop, Nantes) and supporting DACH: sick leave, vacation accounts, contracts, certifications, onboarding and offboarding.
- Preparing monthly payroll as the connector between staff, management, and our tax office. This includes handling questions and keeping clean documentation.
- Serving as the first point of contact for employment-related and organizational questions. For more complex matters, you'll loop in our external partners (tax office, legal counsel).
- Organizing and running our team events: annual summer party, Christmas celebration, and smaller team activities at our Cologne and Nantes offices.
- Making sure our Cologne office is a place people enjoy working in: tidy, welcoming, and an office with real atmosphere.
What you bring
- Experience in a comparable role in HR, office management, or executive assistance, ideally in an international environment.
- Business-fluent French, both written and spoken. This is your daily working language with our FR team.
- Solid English for cross-team collaboration. German is a plus but not required. Much of our work happens in English.
- A structured and reliable working style with personnel data and payroll.
- Discretion and empathy. You'll work with sensitive information and often be the first person people turn to for personal matters.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes. Knowledge of French labor and social security regulations is a real bonus, but we'll ramp up together.
What we offer
- A part-time role of 20 to 25 hours per week, mostly on-site at our Cologne office near Rudolfplatz.
- Annual salary between EUR 15,000 and EUR 20,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and agreed hours.
- Childcare subsidy and Deutschland-Ticket.
- Additional perks: Jobbike, Urban Sports Club, Corporate Benefits, English classes, German classes, and a mentor program to get you settled in.
- Flat hierarchies, participative decision-making, and regular team events.
- An international team where your French skills aren't a side note but a central part of your role.

If you're excited to support our FR team and help make our Cologne office a place people enjoy being: send your application to [email protected]. We're looking forward to meeting you.
