About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Electronics & Embedded Systems Engineer to help develop the next generation of our autonomous mobile robots.
You will maintain and improve our existing robotic platforms while developing new electronics for future products. Working closely with our robotics software and mechanical teams, you will design, integrate, test, and validate electrical systems from prototype through production.
Success in this role requires strong technical skills, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to make sound engineering decisions in a fast-paced robotics environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical and embedded systems for autonomous robotic platforms.
- Select and integrate motors, motor drivers, sensors, embedded computers, and power electronics.
- Design reliable power distribution, battery management, protection circuits, and safety mechanisms.
- Create and maintain electrical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and test procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and embedded hardware issues on existing robotic systems.
- Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers to integrate hardware with the complete robotic system.
- Support prototype assembly, manufacturing, supplier communication, and hardware validation.
- Perform signal integrity analysis, EMI/EMC mitigation, thermal analysis, and electrical verification.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our robotics electronics architecture.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of motor control systems (BLDC/DC), power electronics, battery management, and power distribution.
- Experience with embedded systems design using microcontrollers (ESP32, STM32, or similar) and embedded computers such as NVIDIA Jetson.
- Experience integrating robotic components such as motor drivers, LiDAR, cameras, GNSS/RTK, IMUs, encoders, or other sensors.
- Familiarity with communication protocols including EtherCAT, CAN, Ethernet, UART, SPI, and I²C.
- Experience with wiring harness design and cable management for robotic or electromechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters for hardware debugging.
- Understanding of grounding, EMI/EMC, thermal management, and electrical safety.
- Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or KiCad is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ROS 2, Linux, and Python.
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience developing electronics for autonomous mobile robots or industrial robotics.
- Familiarity with FPGA-based systems.
What We Offer
- Work on cutting-edge autonomous mobile robots deployed in real-world environments.
- End-to-end involvement, from concept and prototyping to production and field testing.
- A collaborative environment with robotics, software, AI, and mechanical engineering.
- Flexible working hours around your studies
- The opportunity to make a direct impact on commercial robotic products.
