Hey there! Are you ready for an exciting challenge as an HMI Developer in Automation Technology (m/f/d)? Are you passionate about developing modern user interfaces, designing intuitive user experiences and implementing innovative software solutions for specialised machinery in the semiconductor industry? You’ll also be involved in exciting projects and tasks in the areas of HMI development, visualisation, system integration and software standardisation.
In our dedicated team, you can expect a wide range of tasks where you won’t just be a part of the team, but will actively help shape the work. We foster a culture of informality, because we believe that innovation flourishes where people interact openly, honestly and as equals. This role can be carried out remotely and is location-independent.
Here’s what a typical day looks like for you as an HMI software developer:
- Developing modern HMI and visualisation solutions:
You will develop, maintain and optimise our HMI components for specialised machinery in the semiconductor industry. In doing so, you will design modern and intuitive user interfaces based on Java, XML and JSON, ensuring a high level of user-friendliness and an optimal user experience. Drawing on your understanding of UI/UX principles, you will support the development of efficient operating concepts for our customers.
- Design and standardisation of software solutions:
Using your analytical skills, you will develop tools, frameworks and generic functions to standardise and simplify software development. You will work on the further development of existing software architectures, define development standards and support the sustainable optimisation of our HMI landscape.
- Integration of systems and interfaces:
Drawing on your technical expertise, you will integrate third-party and host systems, as well as interfaces to sensors and actuators, into our software solutions. In doing so, you will work with communication standards such as SECS/GEM, EDA and OPC-UA, and support the integration of systems in accordance with the requirements of the semiconductor industry.
- Conducting tests and commissioning:
You will create system simulations to carry out integration and functional tests and oversee software solutions from development through to commissioning. Using a structured approach, you will conduct acceptance tests, analyse error patterns and support our teams in successful commissioning and customer support.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team:
As a communicative and committed individual, you will work closely with colleagues from the fields of software development, automation technology, design and project management. Through your ability to work in a team and your strong problem-solving skills, you will make a significant contribution to the success of projects and support the implementation of customer-focused solutions.
- Involvement in innovative development projects:
Thanks to your technical expertise, you will take on responsibility in development and optimisation projects. You will analyse new requirements, draw up specifications and compliance documentation in accordance with SEMI standards, and play an active role in the further development of our software platforms and user interfaces.
