Amazon MGM Studios seeks a Sales and Operations Coordinator, Theatrical Distribution for Germany to execute sales and distribution strategies for all theatrical releases. The position manages a portfolio of German exhibitor accounts, handling bookings, negotiations and ongoing account management, as well as managing Operations. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the role translates sales strategy into effective release execution—driving screen count, session placement and market coverage to maximize box office performance for each title on the Amazon MGM Studios slate.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of German exhibitor accounts and being responsible for executing Sales strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong exhibitor relationships to drive release performance
- Assist with weekly session planning and negotiate film rental terms, screen allocations, showtime scheduling, and holdover commitments with cinema owners, circuit buyers, and independent exhibitors.
- Coordinate festival and open -air distribution activity for the slate, coordinating preview activities and develop and maintain curator/programmer relationships
- Process and manage exhibitor bookings, holdovers, and maintain accurate records of sales terms and payments in coordination with Finance team.
- Support the implementation, testing, training and setup of the Sales and Booking system
- Collaborate with the distribution and marketing teams to develop release strategies, including wide releases, and exclusive engagements, tailored to each title's commercial potential.
- Coordinate operations and technical delivery standards (different language versions, different technical versions, PLFs) across exhibition partners
- Manage end-to-end delivery of trailers, posters, and promotional materials to exhibitors across Germany, coordinating with tech suppliers and Content Delivery Service providers
- Generate, distribute, and track KDMs for all theatrical bookings while troubleshooting technical delivery issues with exhibitors and suppliers
- Support the daily box office reporting for Amazon MGM bookings in internal tracking systems Prepare booking reports, and post-mortem analyses for each title; provide regular updates to senior management on theatrical performance.
- Demonstrable experience in theatrical distribution, sales, or analysis positions in the entertainment industry
- Demonstrated ability to maintain exhibitor relationships and negotiate effectively
- Strong understanding of the theatrical exhibition landscape, including major cinema chains, independent circuits, film rental models, and release windowing.
- Confidence working with spreadsheets, databases and sales tools and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Experience managing multiple complex projects and adapting to change
- Deep knowledge of the German theatrical exhibition market dynamics and trends
- Familiarity with film industry economics, revenue models, and box office analytics
- Understanding of theatrical windows and circuit development strategies
- Experience representing a studio at industry events and conventions
