In this key role, you will ensure compliance with chemicals legislation along the entire supply chain, you will have the opportunity to actively help shape compliance processes and digital transformation, and make a significant contribution to preventing legal risks, fines, and reputational damage for our company. - You are responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with EU chemicals legislation, particularly REACH and CLP, as well as monitoring and integrating relevant regulatory requirements into operational processes and systems.
- You lead, develop and connect an international team of in-house Chemical Compliance Specialists through knowledge sharing, onboarding, training and the promotion of a collaborative working culture.
- You drive further development of existing ERP systems, master data management and business processes to ensure compliance, data quality and efficiency.
- You identify and implement measures for automation, standardization and digitalization, and contribute to the company-wide data and governance strategy.
- You monitor, document and provide evidence of compliance with legal requirements along the supply chain, represent chemicals legislation requirements within the company and define and further develop the corresponding internal processes.
- You act as a strategic advisor to internal departments on chemicals legislation matters and support projects, system implementations and cross-functional initiatives.
- You exchange actively with associations, expert committees and internal stakeholders, and use data analytics and AI solutions to strengthen compliance and operational excellence.
- Successfully completed degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental sciences or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in chemical compliance, product stewardship, regulatory affairs or chemicals management, combined with sound knowledge of EU chemicals legislation, particularly REACH and CLP as well as related regulatory areas.
- Experience in international chemical distribution and complex supply chains would be an advantage.
- A strong ability to interpret legal texts, guidance documents and regulatory requirements in the field of chemicals legislation.
- A strong affinity for ERP systems, master data management, data quality and digital business processes.
- Experience in optimizing and automating processes, ideally in close collaboration with IT, supply chain and sales functions.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, combined with a genuine passion for developing people. Initial or several years of leadership experience.
- Analytical, structured and solution-oriented way of working, with a high commitment to quality and compliance.
- The ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical processes, system solutions and training concepts.
- Very good English skills, enabling you to communicate effectively in an international business environment.
