We are looking for a hands-on RF Engineer to design, build, and validate mission-critical RF subsystems at the core of our products. In this role, you will own RF architectures from concept to field deployment, developing robust links for telemetry, control, and low-latency video. You will work close to real hardware and real-world constraints, directly shaping system performance and reliability.
Own the RF architecture: Design and integrate RF subsystems in the 1–10 GHz range for telemetry, control, and digital video links.
Build from the ground up: Develop RF front-ends (mixers, filters, LNAs, PAs, up/downconversion) and complete receive chains.
Master antennas & links: Design and integrate antennas, tuners, and receiver systems—from schematic to validated field performance.
Run the lab: Set up and operate advanced RF and mixed-signal measurement environments (VNA, spectrum, noise, timing, power).
Optimize real-time video over RF: Tune low-latency H.264/H.265 pipelines for robustness, range, and minimal delay.
Test where it matters: Validate and iterate RF and link performance in real-world field conditions, working closely with cross-functional teams.
RF engineering background: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or similar, plus strong hands-on RF experience close to real hardware.
End-to-end ownership: You take full responsibility for complex subsystems from first schematic to validated field deployment.
Empirical mindset: You move fast: measure, analyze, iterate, practical results over theoretical perfection.
Decisive & resilient: You make and defend technical decisions under pressure, even with tight constraints.
Built for real-world performance: You are driven by robustness, signal quality, and systems that reliably perform outside the lab.
Language skills: English is required; German is a plus.
FPGA & signal processing: Experience with FPGA-based RF or video pipelines (e.g. Xilinx, Intel, basic HDL).
Antenna & EM simulation: Familiar with tools like HFSS, CST, FEKO or comparable EM environments.
Mission-critical domain experience: Background in UAV, aerospace, defense, or other safety-critical systems.
Real impact & ownership: Shape high-tech defense systems and take responsibility from day one.
Mission-driven environment: Work on technologies that matter for European security and sovereignty.
Competitive package: Competitive salary, EGYM Wellpass, corporate benefits, and equity options aligned with role and level.
Deep tech environment: Get hands-on experience with cutting-edge drone technology and real operational use cases.
Grow fast: Steep learning curve for juniors, strategic influence and leadership opportunities for seniors.
Startup mindset meets defence innovation: flat hierarchies, fast decisions, and space for your ideas.
Flexibility: Flexible hours, remote options, and relocation support.
Strong team: International, driven colleagues and a culture built on exchange, trust, and shared success.
Twentyfour Industries is committed to building a fair, inclusive, and high-performance workplace where people from all backgrounds can contribute and thrive. Our team brings together individuals with different perspectives, experiences, and skills to shape the future of European security and technology.
All applicants will receive equal consideration for employment regardless of gender, age, disability, ethnic or social origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or any other status protected by applicable European or national law.
We particularly welcome applications from individuals who are underrepresented in the technology and defense sector, including women, people with disabilities, and those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
We aim to provide a respectful, supportive, and transparent recruitment process. If you require adjustments to take part in our hiring process, please let us know so we can accommodate your needs.
If you share our mission and are motivated to work on challenges with real-world impact, we look forward to your application.
