We're Not Looking for a Typical Foodie
Many people love eating out in Berlin.
We're looking for something more.
At Fork & Walk Tours, we seek guides who are genuinely fascinated by food, ingredients, culture and the stories behind them. People who don't just know where to eat, but understand why a dish exists, where it comes from, how it is prepared and what it says about a city's history and identity.
Our best guides are often chefs, brewers, sommeliers, food journalists, culinary historians, food scientists, researchers, hospitality professionals or simply people who have spent years studying and immersing themselves in food culture.
You Might Be a Great Fit If You:
- Can explain the difference between regional German beer styles and why they developed
- Love discussing ingredients, techniques and culinary traditions
- Understand how migration and history have shaped Berlin's food culture
- Have a strong interest in wine, beer, coffee, fermentation or gastronomy
- Are naturally curious and enjoy learning
- Can tell a great story and keep a group engaged
- Enjoy connecting food with culture, history and everyday life
