Verda's infrastructure runs on hardware that someone has to physically deploy, cable, monitor, and keep alive. We need a hands-on technician to be the physical execution layer of our data center operations.
We are looking for a Junior Data Center Technician to join our Data Center Operations team. You will rack and stack servers, run structured cabling, manage the hardware lifecycle from deployment to decommission, respond to incidents, and coordinate with vendors. Your work goes live fast and has a direct impact on customer uptime.
This is a physical role in an active data center environment. The pace is fast, communication is direct, and ambiguity is common — you are expected to figure things out and ask the right questions. Occasional non-standard hours are part of the job.
You will grow fast here. Within your first year, the goal is for you to independently own full hardware deployments end-to-end, set the cabling and documentation standards for a site, and become the primary contact for vendor coordination. You'll work in a small team where you learn from senior engineers daily, and Verda is scaling rapidly, so the role grows with the company.
Rack, stack, and configure servers and networking equipment.
Perform structured cabling — copper and fiber — including routing, termination, and labeling.
Own hardware lifecycle tracking: deployments, decommissions, and asset management.
Act as first-line incident response — hardware diagnostics and component swaps.
Manage vendor support tickets and coordinate field visits on-site.
Monitor environment conditions — power, cooling, and physical security — and flag anomalies proactively.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Vocational qualification in IT, electrical, or electronics.
Hands-on or strong theoretical knowledge of structured cabling — Cat6 and fiber optic, including routing, termination, and labeling.
Experience with electrical assembly or repairing complex technical equipment.
Hands-on Linux command line skills; basic Windows troubleshooting.
Networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs.
Strong written and verbal English.
Ability to work on-site and commit to full-time hours.
Strong Plus
Any hands-on server or data center experience.
Open schedule and flexibility around working hours.
Driver's license for site access.
