With two production sites, Heiche Bayern GmbH has specialized in direct supply to OEMs over the past seven years. The company’s coating expertise lies in KTL processes and pickling and passivation. Since 2018, Heiche Bayern GmbH has been one of the brands of KAP Surface Technologies.
Are you passionate about quality and the associated processes, do you have a hands-on approach, and do you take initiative in solving problems? Then you are exactly the right candidate (m/f/d) to support our team in Bavaria at the Pilsting and Hunderdorf locations.
Responsibilities:
- Complaint Management: You will independently handle and facilitate customer complaints using the 8D methodology (including root cause analysis via the 5 Whys and Ishikawa diagrams).
- Process validation & release: You will monitor, document, and control the suspension and subsequent release of rework and scrap processes (e.g., paint stripping/recoating) in accordance with IATF guidelines.
- Quality assurance during ongoing operations: You manage and monitor in-process inspections of components and ensure the regular conduct of product audits as well as annual requalification tests in accordance with customer specifications.
- Equipment-related QA: You assist with the continuous monitoring of process baths and the documentation of chemical parameters for our electrophoretic coating and passivation systems to prevent defects.
- Standardization: You will create, update, and optimize clear work, test, and process instructions for production and the laboratory.
- Interface role: You will communicate important customer feedback directly to production and plant engineering, train on-site staff, and ensure that defects are permanently resolved.
Your Qualifications
- Education: A successfully completed apprenticeship in the field of surface technology (e.g., surface coater/electroplater, chemical technician, automotive painter) with further training to become a State-Certified Technician or a comparable qualification in quality management (e.g., DGQ Quality Specialist).
- Professional experience: Substantial experience in operational quality management at an IATF 16949-certified company, ideally in the field of cathodic electrocoating, passivation, or wet chemical surface treatment.
- Methodological skills: Proficiency in using standard quality tools, particularly the 8D report, as well as practical experience in planning and conducting product audits and re-qualifications.
- Practical knowledge: Experience in performing in-process inspections (e.g., coating thickness measurement, cross-cut test, salt spray test) and a good understanding of process bath monitoring (analytics/laboratory) .
- Personality: Assertiveness and strong communication skills on an equal footing—both when interacting with our production staff/plant managers and when clarifying issues with customers.
- Language skills: Fluent written and spoken German; basic English skills for customer correspondence are desirable.
