We are looking for a Senior Engineer, Electro-Acoustic Design to start as soon as possible on a fixed-term contract for 18 months (Parental Leave Replacement). The position is part of our cross-functional R&D Hardware ISP ID team and an integral part of our Hearing Aid project teams.
Contributing to the design and development of hearing aid systems as part of multidisciplinary project teams
Supporting the conceptual design phase and driving the implementation of electro-acoustic solutions during product realization
Selecting and evaluating electro-acoustic transducers and system components
Providing guidance and conducting reviews of PCB designs to ensure optimal system performance
Configuring, evaluating, and optimizing the signal path
Performing design verification activities and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation
Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including Mechanical Design, Wireless Systems, and Rechargeable Systems teams
Supporting bring-up activities and commissioning of new device platforms, particularly during the introduction of new technologies and platform deliveries
Contributing to innovation and forefront development projects
Experience
Master’s of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Acoustic
3-5 years of experience in electro-acoustic product development, ideally within the hearing aid, medical device, or consumer electronics industry
Deep understanding of on electrical circuits and/or electro-acoustic systems
Experience with MATLAB or Python to control measurement jobs
Personal competencies
Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams
Strong communication skills and fluency in English (German at B2 level is a plus)
This position is classified in pay group EG10A under the collective agreement of the Bavarian metal and electrical industry (IG Metall Tarifvertrag Bayern) including the relevant pay scale and tariff components.
