What to Expect
The Sr. EHS specialist with focus on chemical management for the Giga factory Berlin-Brandenburg will work in collaboration with several cross functional teams to ensure products and chemicals used are compliant with legislation and that clear information is provided on their use.
Candidate will support the operations and EHS representatives with specialist knowledge like risk assessments for chemicals. This position will also serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Chemical Management and the main regulatory point of contact for the facility in this specialist topic, this includes the responsibility as company representative with regards to Chemicals. The ideal candidate takes pride in his/her analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail. What You'll Do-
Manage and communicate the introduction and use of chemicals together with relevant internal and external parties (e.g., medical experts, EHS representatives, line management)

Coordinate and contribute to internal and international projects e.g., for administration of chemical data based on Material Safety Data Sheets, REACH topics and other regulation

Observe Chemical compliance and be a competent contact for authorities

Manage Process Hazard reviews and risk assessments and work instructions for chemicals

Define and implement standards/procedures/guidelines

Support work safety in cooperation with EHS experts, supervisors and line managers

Design, maintain and implement systems and tools to support compliance and improve the chemical management

Implement trainings on the use with chemicals in cooperation with our training team
What You'll Bring-
BSc or MsC degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related EHS discipline.

Extensive experience with REACH and other chemical regulations.

Certifications as Environmental Representatives are a plus (e.g. Emission Control Officer)

Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.

A proven track record of chemical management and successful process change management

Experience with information systems for chemical management incl. Material Safety Data Sheet tools

Fluent in English and German.
