What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Sr EHS Specialist at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg. This role will support the team from design through construction, installation, commissioning, and daily operations, while coordinating multiple external contractors working in parallel.
Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will manage safety across cell construction projects and lead incident investigations. The environment is fast-paced, dynamic, and demands high ownership.
What You'll Do-
Manage construction projects from design to operations

Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations

Provide continuous EHS support to Engineering team during construction phase.

Support managers in meeting legal obligations, including the preparation of risk assessments (Gefährdungsbeurteilungen), implementation of preventive and corrective measures according to the STOP principle, creation of operating instructions, delivery of safety briefings, and ensuring compliance with minimum requirements for first aiders, fire safety officers, and safety representatives.

Ensure legally compliant workplace design in accordance with applicable regulations, particularly the Workplace Ordinance (ASR).

Support the processing and investigation of reported workplace accidents, including accurate classification, root cause analysis, and implementation of necessary follow-up measures.

Establish clear and structured communication regarding department-specific risks, incidents, safety initiatives, and relevant KPIs.

Collaborate with other EHS specialists on cross-functional topics such as water protection, hazardous substances, ATEX, and machinery safety.
What You'll Bring-
5+ years of practical experience as a Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit.

Experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred, particularly with a focus on chemicals and process safety.

Solid working knowledge of health, environmental, and workplace design topics (especially the Arbeitsstättenverordnung/ASR) in addition to standard §6 responsibilities.

Additional qualifications in hazardous substances, ATEX, fire protection, machinery safety, or similar areas are highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills in both German and English.

Strong practical mindset with a genuine drive for continuous safety improvement.
