For our Client, we are searching for the Candidate (f/m) interested in a position of:
HEAD OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
(Siegen, Germany)
Our Client is a globally recognized, mid-sized manufacturer of machine tools and
special-purpose machinery, delivering complex automation solutions across a wide
range of industrial applications. As part of an international group, the company
combines strong engineering expertise with a commitment to innovation, quality, and
long-term customer partnerships.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and further develop a team of mechanical engineers and
- technical staff (4 direct reports).
- Combine leadership with a hands-on approach by actively participating inmachine design and engineering work.
- Take full ownership of ongoing and new engineering projects, ensuring quick onboarding and immediate contribution.
- Deliver projects in line with key KPIs: engineering hours, cost margin, quality,and on-time shipment.
- Drive development of special-purpose machinery and customer-specific solutions.
- Optimize engineering processes, tools, and technical standards.
- Act as a key interface between engineering, production, sales, and international teams.
- Support decision-making regarding materials, manufacturing methods, and technical concepts.
- Build a strong, structured, and high-performing team environment.
Our requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role combining team leadership and hands-on engineering.
- Proven experience in special-purpose machinery, machine tools, or roll-relatete chnologies.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience in managing or developing teams with a hands-on mindset.
- Ability to quickly “jump into topics” and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills, ownership, and results-oriented approach.
- Very good command of German and English.
- Willingness to work on-site in Siegen (hybrid work possible).
