At Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the Global Platform Services team is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated
As Head of Power Platform (Global Platform Services), you will be responsible for the strategy, implementation, and global operation of Microsoft Power Platform capabilities embedded within Evotec’s broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Dynamics 365, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and SharePoint.
This role combines senior people leadership with deep technical and architectural ownership, requiring a hands-on leader who can shape strategy, drive implementation, and ensure the successful operation of enterprise-scale solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders while leading a global team of platform specialists, architects, and engineers.
Responsibilities
Strategic Platform Ownership

Define and drive the global Power Platform strategy as a core enterprise capability within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem

Position the platform as a standardized, scalable, and secure global service offering

Translate strategic objectives into technical architectures, standards, and implemented solutions
-
Own the global platform roadmap with accountability for delivery, adoption, and business value realization

Act as global product owner while remaining actively involved in key design and implementation decisions
Architecture & Technical Leadership

Own the architecture and technical direction of enterprise solutions across:

Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven)
-
Power Automate (cloud, hybrid, and enterprise integrations)
-
Dynamics 365
-
Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
-
SharePoint Online
-
Design, review, and validate complex solution architectures

Define and enforce reference architectures, governance models, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) standards

Act as the escalation point for technically complex or business-critical implementations
People Leadership & Capability Development

Lead and develop a global team of platform engineers, architects, and specialists

Combine people leadership with active coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance
-
Foster deep expertise across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft 365 services

Build sustainable internal capabilities and reduce long-term dependency on external service providers
Governance, Security & Compliance
-
Design and enforce governance frameworks covering environments, security, compliance, data protection, and lifecycle management

Ensure governance requirements are embedded within platform design and operations
-
Collaborate closely with Security, Compliance, Enterprise Architecture, HR, and Works Council stakeholders

Balance innovation and business enablement with enterprise-grade security and operational stability
Global Service & Enablement

Develop and operate a global platform service model, including Center of Excellence, managed services, and self-service enablement capabilities

Create and maintain reusable assets, templates, standards, solution frameworks, and best practices
-
Enable citizen developers and professional developers through guidance, governance, and technical tooling

Define and monitor KPIs for platform adoption, service quality, operational performance, and cost efficiency
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

Act as a senior advisor to business and IT leadership on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform capabilities
-
Translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations and strategic decisions
-
Lead discussions with senior management and executive stakeholders with strong technical credibility
-
Represent the platform portfolio in governance boards, steering committees, and decision-making forums
Qualifications
-
University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a comparable field
-
Proven senior leadership experience with direct people management responsibility
-
Deep, hands-on expertise across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, with a strong focus on Microsoft Power Platform
-
Extensive experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and enterprise platform governance
-
Practical experience with Dynamics 365 and strong expertise in SharePoint Online
-
Strong knowledge of Power BI and modern data platforms, ideally including Microsoft Fabric
-
Solid understanding of identity management, security, compliance, and enterprise integration patterns within Microsoft 365 environments
-
Experience designing, implementing, and operating global enterprise platforms or shared services
-
Proven ability to operate effectively at both technical architecture and executive leadership levels
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers

Experience driving digital transformation, platform adoption, and organizational change in complex global environments

Fluent in English; German is an advantage, ideally also French and/or Italian

Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus
