THE ROLE
As Head of SAP, you will lead the strategic and operational direction of our global SAP organization of approximately 30 team members across Koblenz, Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Mumbai. You will own the global SAP roadmap, drive key transformation projects, and establish a scalable system landscape to support Canyon’s international growth. Reporting directly to the VP Global IT, you will serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team, blending technological innovation with reliable, high-quality support across all global Canyon entities.

Leadership & Team Development:
You lead and develop a multicultural, global organization structured across three pillars (Inhouse Consulting, Integration & Architecture, Operations) across multiple time zones.
Strategy & Roadmap:
You own the end-to-end global SAP roadmap, drive international transformation projects, and create scalable frameworks for new entity rollouts and partner onboardings.
Performance & Standards:
You establish consistent KPIs, SLAs, and best practices across all hubs while ensuring a highly stable 24/7 system environment.
Stakeholder Management:
As a trusted partner, you collaborate closely with internal key stakeholders and the broader IT leadership team to actively shape strategic decisions.
Innovation & Process Excellence:
You continuously challenge and refine existing structures, drive innovative technologies into business functions, and foster agile project methodologies.
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF TEH RACE
Education & Foundation:
A university degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field provides the technical and strategic background required for this role.
Leadership Experience:
Several years (5-7 years) of leadership experience, ideally managing international or distributed teams reflect your inspiring, goal-oriented leadership style.
SAP & Project Expertise:
Proven success in global SAP rollouts, strong knowledge of agile project management, and experience establishing multi-tier support structures set you apart.
Mindset & Approach:
A hands-on mentality, a keen eye for both technical and commercial aspects, and the drive to deliver pragmatic, innovative solutions are among your key strengths.
Presence & Communication:
Fluency in English and German, paired with high office visibility at our headquarters in Koblenz (or residing within ~150 km / willingness to relocate), completes your profile.
