About Recare
As one of the leading German HealthTech companies, we are reshaping discharge management – technology-driven, patient-centered, and free from bureaucracy. In addition to our market-leading SaaS platform, we develop AI solutions that radically simplify processes in hospitals and for aftercare providers, relieve healthcare professionals, and refocus attention on patients. Today, we already connect two-thirds of all German hospitals with over 650 rehabilitation clinics and 25,000 nursing and homecare providers. With currently around 100 employees, we continue to grow – and we are looking for people with character who want to help us improve the healthcare system and solve administrative complexity across care journeys in Europe.
What you'll own as our Senior AI Product Designer
-
You'll own end-to-end design for one of our core product areas, on a platform where AI is the foundation of the product, not a bolt-on feature. Your mission is to bring consumer-grade craft to a B2B healthcare product used by clinicians and hospital administrators under real time pressure, and to help invent the design patterns for AI-native surfaces that don't exist anywhere else yet.
-
You design the AI-native surfaces our platform is built around, including multi-modal interfaces, agent state, uncertainty, and human-in-the-loop controls, inventing the patterns as you go rather than adapting existing ones.
-
You own end-to-end design for a product area – Discharge Core, Voice Desktop, Extract & Docs, Patient Overview, or Agent – taking work from a messy problem statement through to what ships in production.
-
You contribute to our design system, building the components and AI-specific conventions that other designers and teams build on.
-
You partner closely with product and engineering, shaping technical and product direction rather than being handed a spec to execute against.
You work with other designers across the organisation, bringing your input and influence beyond your own product area rather than staying inside a single team's boundary.
-
You hold a high craft bar in critique, lifting the standard of what the wider design team ships.
You help hold coherence across our AI Suite (Voice, Docs, Extract, Agent) and Discharge Core, so a fast-growing multi-product platform still feels like one product to the people using it.
How we design:
-
We're AI-native. We use AI tools daily in our own process, not just in what we design, and we want strong, opinionated views on how to wield them well.
-
Consumer-grade craft is the bar, even in B2B. Our users are clinicians and hospital administrators.
-
Human-in-the-loop by default. This is healthcare: AI proposes, people stay in control, and we design the approval and verification moments that make that real, not just a confidence score bolted on.
-
We ship in production, not just in Figma. Craft is judged by what clinicians actually use, so we stay close to what ships.
What to expect as our Senior AI Product Designer (m/w/d):
-
Purposeful work – your role will have a positive impact on patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
-
Company culture – we believe in flat hierarchies that promote high performance and strong team dynamics. We foster an environment characterized by mutual respect, loyalty, and recognition. Together, we strive for our goals – and expect the same from you.
-
Flexibility – want to pick up your child from daycare? Like to exercise during lunch? We'll support you. We are a remote-friendly company offering flexible working hours. Workations are also possible by arrangement.
-
Edenred card – which you can use according to your needs.
-
Extra vacation day – so you can celebrate your birthday with your loved ones, you'll have the day off.
Here's how we picture you as our Senior AI Product Designer (m/w/d):
-
You have 8+ years of product design experience, with at least 3+ years operating at Senior, Principal, or Staff altitude.
- You have designed for AI and non-determinism before, and can talk concretely about how you've communicated agent behaviour, handled errors, and kept users in control, not just in the abstract.
-
You have owned or significantly contributed to a design system, at the level of patterns and principles rather than individual components.
-
You are block-shaped: equally strong across UX process, UI craft, product thinking, research, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration.
-
You have taken features from 0 to 1 through an ambiguous problem statement to shipped code, and you're comfortable feeling like a PM or frontend developer on the days that calls for it.
-
You have high agency and spot gaps without being asked to look for them, including outside your own product area.
-
You hold a position under pressure but change it when new information warrants, rather than becoming precious about your own decisions.
-
You communicate confidently in English and are comfortable operating in an international environment; German is a plus but not required.
You bring a consumer-grade craft background with exceptional design; healthtech experience is a plus but not required.

If this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd love to hear from you
