The University Clinic is one of the largest institutions at the site and combines top-level medical care with innovative research and teaching. The Department of Molecular and Experimental Surgery represents the central research unit of the clinic and conducts clinically translational research in modern laboratory facilities.
To strengthen our interdisciplinary team, we are looking for a dedicated Medical Technologist (m/f/d) / Technical Assistant for Laboratory Analytics to join our interdisciplinary team with immediate effect.
The focus of your role will be on experimental laboratory work (approx. 65%) and administrative support (approx. 35%).
Experimental Activities:
- Quantification of target molecules at the protein level (immunohistology, Western blot, ELISA including analysis)
- FACS-based cell analyses including data evaluation
- Conducting further molecular and cell biological analyses
- Documentation and analysis of experimental data
Organization & Support:
- Supporting team leadership with administrative and organizational tasks
- Participation in laboratory and project management
Required Qualifications:
- Completed training as
- Completed training as a Technical Assistant,
- Medical-Technical Assistant,
- Biological-Technical Assistant, Medical Technologist,
- or a comparable qualification (e.g., Master of Science).
- Practical experience in:
- Immunohistology
- Western blot
- ELISA
- FACS (flow cytometry)
- Experience in the evaluation of experimental data
- Very good German language skills (at least C1, ideally native level)
Personal Skills:
- Structured, careful, and independent working style
- Teamwork skills and strong organizational abilities
Desirable:
- Experience in sterile cell culture
- Media preparation
- Interest in translational research and methodological development

This full-time position is available immediately, initially limited to two years. An extension to a permanent position may be possible.
