About Your Program
You’ll be joining the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program, designed to give early-career talent hands-on exposure to real projects, real responsibilities, and real growth. Over 3–6 months, you’ll work alongside experienced teams, build fundamental skills, and gain insights into how a global business operates.
What You'll Do
Support the category leader, manager and category buyers in day to-day merchandising activities such as assortment planning, product selection, and inventory management.
Assist in vendor communication, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure timely delivery of products and adherence to quality standards.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats in assigned product categories.
Maintain accurate product data, pricing information, and inventory records in the merchandising system to facilitate effective decision-making and reporting.
Help identify and correct errors in product descriptions, visuals or data.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute promotional campaigns, product launches.
Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and analysis for category reviews, business meetings, and executive updates.
About You
Currently enrolled in a university with at least six months remaining until graduation (MUST) with any related major
Relevant experience in retail, merchandising, or buying (through an internship or otherwise) is a plus.
No more than 2 years of work experience
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online shopping trends is a plus.
Basic analytical skills to interpret data and trends.
Basic skills in Excel.
Proficient in German, Chinese, and English is a must
