Are you ready to contribute to the successful delivery of newbuild cruise vessels? Carnival Corporation is looking for a Newbuild Verification Analyst to join our New Build Asset Management Team at our site office in Papenburg, Germany. In this role, you will support the quality and accuracy of asset data entered into the Planned Maintenance System by physically verifying equipment installed on board and cross-checking it against system records. You will work closely with the Asset Management Engineer and wider project team to help ensure reliable, complete, and well-structured data for our newbuild vessels in Carnival Corporation.
Your Responsibilities:
- Verify all fitted assets on newbuild vessels
- Collect and organize machinery details to ensure accuracy of the planned maintenance database
- Support the development of maintenance plans for newbuild vessels as directed by the Engineer and Asset Management
- Maintain onboard data, including photos, templates, and documentation
- Organize and maintain the server folder structure to ensure proper housekeeping of files
- Support the Asset Management team in strategic initiatives related to maintenance and technical inventory
- Extract maintenance and spare‑parts data as directed by the Verification Engineer
- Provide shipboard teams with the data they need to support their operations
- Support compliance of the asset management database and planned maintenance system with relevant legislation and safety/reliability standards
- Stay informed about current and emerging asset management, stock, and inventory optimization practices within the Carnival Group and the wider industry, and act on feedback from vessels in service
- Ensure accurate records of verified equipment are maintained and properly filed
- Produce verification progress reports as directed by the Asset Management Engineer
- Become fully familiar with Carnival Corporation’s Asset Management Systems and PMS
- Develop a strong understanding of the corporate asset management strategy
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s in engineering or any Maritime‑related discipline
- A Licensed Marine Engineer is desirable
- Mandatory proven experience within the shipping and/or shipbuilding industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of maritime operations and industry‑specific practices
- Strong operational knowledge of modern vessel design and layout, including machinery systems, equipment functionality, and the application of planned maintenance systems
- Demonstrate independence, confidence, and self‑motivation, with the ability to take on a wide range of tasks at short notice
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
- Exhibit strong organizational and planning abilities, ensuring efficient management of tasks and priorities
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction across all levels
- Able to exercise complete discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Show flexibility in working hours, with a willingness to respond quickly to changing demands
- Must be willing to travel regularly overseas and be able to work additional hours even on weekends as operational needs arise
- Fluent in English; knowledge of any additional European language is an advantage
