What to Expect
Tesla internal structural engineering team is expanding and is looking for a new Senior structural engineer to strengthen its current set-up.
As a design engineer in Tesla's Structural team, you will be responsible for design development of structural development projects from concept to execution for wide variety of projects. Responsibilities include, the design of new builds on site and expansion and alteration projects of the current manufacturing facility and assisting with structural related feasibility studies and assessments.
What You'll Do-
Develop design for structural engineering projects. Typically, arranged through the HOAI phases of design from concept to execution for a wide variety of structural projects i.e. reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel framing in both greenfield and brown field context

Work in a team of Structural engineers and structural Revit 3D modelers

Participate in all project phases, from conceptual designs and feasibility study stages with presentation of ideas, through to permitting design and then preparing execution and construction documents.

Assist with individual shop related queries and structural assessments for the continual development and re-purposing of the site

Collaborate with design team, external consultants & contractors, Checking engineers and other vendors to meet overall project delivery

Produce structural documentation including; drawings, Structural static reports / calculations and assessment reports

Assist with site observation and RFI’s during the construction stages

Suitable degree in structural engineering

Minimum of 5 years of related project structural engineering experience

Registration with the German Chamber of Engineers (Baukammer) preferred

Working knowledge of structural engineering codes, especially Eurocodes and design and construction practice

Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal communication style

Innovative and solution orientated mind set

Ability to work with still developing and not-yet defined targets

Strong personal accountability with an autonomous and flexible working style

Knowledge of structural engineering software i.e RFEM6, Idea Statica. Revit knowledge is a plus

English proficiency required. German is a plus
