You'll take a PMO Team that is technically strong but methodologically uneven (four Senior PMs, all from agency backgrounds, none with HubSpot CRM or agentic delivery as their primary specialism) and turn it into our delivery engine for the next phase.
You'll own three things end-to-end: people leadership of the Senior PMs (career conversations, calibration, staffing decisions), our PM methodology v1.0 anchored in HubSpot, Jira, Confluence, and Forecast, and the capacity and staffing rhythm across the Practice.
The COO is currently running this seat interim, so on day one you free up serious leadership bandwidth. The role sits at our Sindelfingen office in the Böblingen region, where most of our DACH enterprise programs are anchored.
You'll take full ownership of PMO Team people leadership within 2 months: 1:1 cadence, career conversations in Lattice, pairing and staffing decisions in Forecast, with all 4 to 6 Senior PMs reporting into your seat
You'll publish our PM methodology v1.0 within 6 months, covering project initiation, planning, delivery cadence, governance, escalation paths, and status reporting standards, all anchored in our actual stack
You'll scale the PMO Team from 4 active to 6+ active Senior PMs within 9 months through hiring and onboarding, including the return-to-work for our Senior PM coming back from parental leave
You'll lift on-time and on-budget delivery to 90% across all enterprise programs within 12 months, measured in Forecast against committed scope and budget per program
You'll reduce budget burn surprises (programs flagged red without prior amber state) to under 10% of the portfolio per quarter
You'll establish a quarterly PMO review with the Leadership team covering portfolio health, capacity utilisation, PM-led pre-sales, and methodology evolution
You'll coach at least 2 Senior PMs into an L5 IC (Program Director) progression path within our Career Framework
You'll build the PM-side relationship with the AUTOMATE Practice (once the Head of AI is in seat): how PMO supports AI agent program governance, and what is different about agentic delivery cadence
Must-haves
7+ years in Project Management, with 2+ years in a people-leadership role over a PM team of 5+ people in a consulting or systems-integrator context
Experience running or overseeing CRM implementation programs at enterprise scale (€200k+ project value), on HubSpot or comparable Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or SAP CX
Personal authorship of (or substantial contribution to) a PM methodology, playbook, or delivery framework that was actually adopted by a team. Not just consuming someone else's
Hands-on fluency with a resource-planning tool (Forecast, Float, Resource Guru, Mavenlink, or similar). Reads burn dashboards fluently and has driven a capacity-planning cadence that improved delivery predictability
Comfort facing CTO, COO, and CEO clients in steering committees, including saying "no" or "not yet" to a senior client without damage
Experience leading a hybrid team across at least 2 sites or working models, with documented experience in calibration cycles, difficult feedback, low-performer management, and parental-leave return
Native or near-native German plus business-fluent English. Writes professional German correspondence to enterprise clients without proofreading
Awareness of agentic and AI-driven delivery (you don't need to be an AI specialist, but you need to understand what is different about delivering an AI agent program vs. a classical CRM rollout)
Ability to commit to consistent on-site presence in the Sindelfingen office
Nice-to-haves
Prior leadership in a PMO at a HubSpot or other CRM-systems-integrator firm
Direct experience evolving a methodology to support AI or agentic delivery
Prior involvement in pre-sales as a senior PM or PMO Lead
You'll lead the PMO Team within our PMO Practice. The team currently has 4 Senior PMs (3 active, 1 returning from parental leave), with one open Senior PM seat already in active hiring. You'll report into the COO, who serves as interim Practice Lead PMO until the permanent seat is filled. Day-to-day, you'll partner with the Consulting Practice (Advisory and Implementation teams), the Development & Technology Practice (Tech Consulting, Development, AI), and (once filled) the Head of AI for AUTOMATE-layer engagements. You'll coach Senior PMs toward L5 IC (Program Director) progression.
