- Develop and implement procurement strategies for ocean freight services.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with ocean carriers and freight forwarders.
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure high service levels and cost efficiency.
- Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and plan shipments.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ocean freight procurement.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
- Lead, train and improve team of specialists managing international logistics and global import and export and materials management.
- Set targets, track performance, check timings of direct reports
- Share market dynamics of international trade and be able to translate these into value added agreements with selected vendors
- Support development of internal and external processes to manage global freight forwarding effectively
- Optimization of existing logistic processes
- Develop and implement customs compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure all import and export activities comply with international trade regulations.
- Liaise with customs authorities and other regulatory bodies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on customs and compliance matters.
- Monitor changes in trade regulations and update company policies accordingly.
- Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to optimize customs processes.
- Local customs and compliance officers reporting functionally to global function
- Manage global sanction monitoring process
- Manage and oversee global categorization and unification process of materials (incl. HS coding)
- Develop and implement a global compliance strategy and process supported by necessary tools and infrastructure
- Responsibility for auditing process in regards to avoid compliance risks
- Advice and support on global level different business areas in matters of foreign trade and customs law
- Follow up and implement with local compliance officers new legal developments and foreign trade regulations
- Global contact for agencies and employees for foreign trade and customs law issues
- Develop strong internal relationships with relevant businesses partners including factories and operational Logistics
- Proactively follow up of global strategy and implemented processes
- Identify potential suppliers on a global basis and consequently manage the supplier basis.
- Provide market information to MAUSER organization where required.

- Excellent knowledge of foreign trade and customs law
- General and technical expertise of transport business context

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience working with a ERP/TMS system
- University/business school degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement
- +8 years of experience in international logistics, export control and other supply chain areas, preferably in a multi-national manufacturing company
- Proven project management skill with international scope
- Excellent reading and writing skills in English and German language
- Process oriented and strong analytical thinking
- Ability to empower others to achieve results through motivation, recognition and performance feedback
- Ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels of people & lead negotiations
- Ability to take actions, decisions & to generate ideas, products, processes in prom-ised timely manner
