- Adapt existing LiDAR prototypes to employ multicore fiber and spatial division multiplexing for applications such as autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs).
- Develop optical 3D sensing in MCF, including adapting existing systems and developing the necessary optics.
- Develop real-time MIMO DSP algorithms (implementable on FPGA) for crosstalk mitigation in the multicore fiber.
What you contribute
- Outstanding scientific Master's degree in electrical, electronics, telecommunications, photonics, microwaves engineering, physics or similar
- Knowledge of simulation tools for transmission systems, digital signal processing; experience in MATLAB/Python.
- Theoretical and experimental knowledge of optical and electrical transmission and sensing systems
- Professional commitment
- Team spirit, ability to work independently and autonomously
- Previous publication experience is an advantage
