The Team
As part of the Capital Markets Accounting Advisory (CMAA) team within our Transaction Advisory Group, you will join a dynamic team that provides accounting advisory services in sell-side, buy-side and IPO situations to a diverse range of clients. Our team is known for its collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality results. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging transaction projects, gain exposure to various industries, and contribute to the team's success. You will gain hands-on experience across a variety of industries and work directly with senior team members in a highly entrepreneurial and collaborative environment.
How you will contribute
As an Intern, you will be part of the CMMA team for 3 months, starting asap, gaining exposure to:
Assisting in high-profile transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings (IPOs), and major corporate restructuring projects.
Preparing analyses and client deliverables related to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
Researching and analysing accounting matters under IFRS, US GAAP and local accounting standards
Supporting the development of practical solutions to complex accounting and financial reporting challenges
Supporting clients with US GAAP/IFRS conversions, financial statement preparation, and the resolution of complex accounting and reporting issues.
Contributing to transaction-related accounting support and help clients enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their financial reporting processes.
Working closely with managers, consultants, and client finance teams on financial transformation and strategic projects.
Leveraging data analytics and AI-enabled tools to support research, analysis and project execution
Qualifications
Advanced bachelor's or currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
Prior internship experience in Audit, Accounting Advisory, Financial Reporting, Transaction Services or a comparable accounting-related role required
Strong affinity for figures and interest in Accounting, Finance, and M&A deal cycle
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Experience with AI-enabled tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude),(Knowledge of Alteryx is a plus)
Fluency in German and English
