The German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) is one of Europe’s largest cancer research centers. “Research for a life without cancer" is the mission of our world-class scientists and all our team members.

The Department of Policy and Implementation Research for Cancer Prevention at the DKFZ conducts research to bridge the gap between scientific evidence, policy, and practice. Our mission is to accelerate the translation of evidence into effective cancer prevention strategies and ensure that evidence-based interventions reach diverse populations.
Through interdisciplinary research and collaboration with stakeholders from different sectors, we work to understand implementation challenges and develop approaches that improve public health outcomes.

As a student assistant, you will support ongoing research activities related to cancer prevention and health communication among Arabic-speaking communities in Germany. This includes:

Supporting stakeholder interviews in Arabic, including participant recruitment, communication, scheduling, and interview coordination

Assisting with qualitative data collection activities

Conducting literature and document reviews

Supporting the development and testing of health information materials

Assisting with engagement and communication activities with community partners and stakeholders
The position is primarily on-site, with limited flexibility for remote work.
