We are looking for a Systems Engineer Linux to join our systems and infrastructure team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional with solid experience in Linux administration, infrastructure automation and cloud technologies. This role focuses on maintaining, improving, and automating stable, secure, and scalable infrastructure that supports our critical services.
Administer, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems across on-premise and cloud environments
Support the operation of local and cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security
Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using configuration management and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Monitor system performance, availability, and security and support incident response activities
Collaborate with development, security and data teams to support infrastructure requirements and workflows
Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
Create and maintain up-to-date technical documentation, SOPs and infrastructure diagrams
Contribute to improving operational processes and infrastructure standards
Your Profile
3–5 years of professional experience in Linux systems administration or infrastructure engineering
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, networking, storage, and system troubleshooting
Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling, such as GitLab or similar
Experience with monitoring, logging, backup and incident management tools
Knowledge of virtualization, containerization or object storage technologies is a plus
Excellent German and English language skills are required for this position
