The research group of Professor Neundorf focuses on the chemical
synthesis and biological evaluation of membrane-active peptides.
We are looking for a highly motivated doctoral candidate for a third-
party funded project.
YOUR TASKS
» Working on a research project dealing with the synthesis and
biological characterization of antimicrobial peptides
» Peptide synthesis, modification
» Biological evaluation of peptides in bacteria and human cells
» Present research findings at international conferences and pub-
lish in peer-reviewed international journals
» Active participation within a structured doctoral program
YOUR PROFILE
» M.Sc. degree (or equivalent) in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology
or similar with excellent results
» Highly motivated and interested in working in a collaborative,
highly interdisciplinary environment on cutting-edge research
topics
» Experience with cell culturing and cellular assays is an advan-
tage
» Proven experience in the field of peptide science (chemical
synthesis, analysis) is an advantage but not required
» High proficiency in English
» Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset

German public sector.
