Senior Supplier Quality Engineer - Semiconductor Materials (m/f/d) - IMQR

Are you ready to safeguard the quality foundation of Europe’s newest leading-edge semiconductor fab?

As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer for Incoming Materials, you will play a critical role in securing the reliability and statistical stability of the raw materials, chemicals, and services powering our manufacturing process. Collaborating closely with global suppliers and internal engineering, laboratory, and procurement teams across different time zones, you will protect the fab from yield excursions and ensure our wafer performance aligns perfectly with our global mother fabs.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to establish robust quality standards, mentor junior team members, and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic, international greenfield environment.

To set you up for ultimate success, your journey begins with a unique and exciting opportunity: a fully supported, 9-month intensive training program at our state-of-the-art facilities in Taiwan.

Job Responsibilities

1. Supplier Quality Assurance: Drive the quality, reliability, and statistical process control (SPC) of incoming materials to ensure stable fab operations and matching wafer performance benchmarks.

2. Risk & Excursion Management: Proactively protect the fab from supplier-related excursions by leading multidisciplinary problem-solving teams to resolve quality issues and implement robust corrective actions (CAPA).

3. Supplier Audits & Performance: Manage supplier relationships through regular quality system assessments, onsite audits, process change control, and KPI-driven risk management.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with procurement, facilities, process engineering, and laboratory teams to align material specifications with operational requirements.

5. Continuous Improvement: Champion the exchange of Best Known Methods (BKMs) and lessons learned with external suppliers and internal global partners.

6. Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a technical role model and mentor within the team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and open communication.

Job Qualifications

Must-Have:

1. Education: University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related STEM field.

2. Industry Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the semiconductor or a highly related high-tech manufacturing industry (e.g., advanced chemicals, solar, or display technology).

3. Technical Expertise: Strong background in supplier quality management, material quality control procedures, SPC, statistical data analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies.

4. Soft Skills & Adaptability: Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, manage international stakeholders, and communicate effectively with supplier senior management.

5. Language Skills: Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken).

6. Global Mobility: Willingness and readiness to complete a mandatory 9-month intensive training and onboarding program in Taiwan at the start of your employment.

Nice-to-Have:

1. Certified ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16949 supplier auditor.

2. Practical experience in semiconductor process integration, process module engineering, fab operations, or physical/chemical material analysis.

3. German language skills (level B2 or higher).
