Simulator Software Engineer / Architect (m/f/d)
OHB System AG is a large system integrator for space-based solutions in Europe. These solutions are trending towards large scale systems-of-systems architectures, comprising large satellite constellations as well as complex and dynamic ground segments. In this context, we are looking for an experienced software engineer / software architect for the development of the corresponding simulators – simulating satellite constellations both for defence/reconnaissance as well as for communication missions.
Your Tasks
- Creation and refinement of technical concepts, requirements and software architecture

Development, implementation and test of the simulators

Supporting technical reviews and support project milestone reviews
- Coordination with customers and internal software teams for the design, for reviews and the timely delivery of simulators
Your Qualifications

Degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or comparable qualification

Ideally previous experience as software architect/technical lead in larger software projects (e.g. automotive, aerospace, scientific computing or gaming)

Experience with distributed simulation frameworks (HLA), and with system-of-systems simulation is a plus

Experience with development and simulation of networks and communication systems and related protocols/technologies is a plus

Proficiency in modern C++ (or similar languages)

Experience with applicable NATO standards and processes, and/or knowledge of related process standards from adjacent fields (such as ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C or DO‑178C) would be an advantage

Strong competence in self-organizing and work planning

High motivation, pro-active working approach, and strong sense of responsibility

Strong competence in working in a multicultural team

Ability and willingness to achieve a German security clearance

Fluency in both spoken and written English
