- Oversee validation activities across the entire chip design flow and accompany the entire process as the validation lead in IC design projects
- Technical lead of IC Validation engineers within projects
- Develop validation concepts and specifications in collaboration with internal project teams based on defined requirements
- Develop PCB designs based on technological requirements and implement solutions for testability and measurement tasks
- Coordinate with internal/external partners and manufacturers, order equipment, and work with vendors for in-house measurements
- Collaboration with Analog-Mixed Signal, Digital and Physical Design Engineers
- Bring up and debug new Integrated Circuits and systems
- Performing electrical and functional validation to ensure compliance with specifications
- Program measurement automation using Python or C programing languages and documenting the results
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/Dipl.-Ing. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Physics or similar
- 5+ years of experience in the field of validation
- Knowledge of measurement equipment, its functions and capabilities
- Experience in PCB design and manufacturing driven design rules and limits
- Strong experience in C languages and Python
- In-depth understanding of semiconductor basics and mixed-signal electronics
- Strong problem solving and teamwork skills
- Experience in managing validation project(s) throughout the entire chip design process
- Very good written and spoken communication skills in German (C1 or native level) and English
- Knowledge of measurement control techniques and its software tools
- Hands-on experience in using IC test methods and interfaces such as JTAG and Scan Test
- Knowledge of PCB design and tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro
- Ability to perform solder rework on PCBs
- Skills in data analysis and evaluation
