Our group investigates neuronal mechanisms underlying the processing of sensory information in the field of interpersonal communication, dyslexia, and (language) learning. Various neuropsychological methods are used such as f/dMRI, tDCS, EMG, eye tracking, and behavioural experiments. We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic student assistant supporting our research, particularly an fMRI study on visual processing and future studies on developmental dyslexia and autism-spectrum disorder.

Student Assistant (m/f/x)
(8 hrs./week)
starting November 1, 2026 and limited until October 31, 2027. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG) as well as the Higher Education Act in the Free State of Saxony (Sächsisches Hochschulgesetz – SächsHSG) in conjunction with the TdL guidelines (collective bargaining association for the German federal states) for Student Assistants and Research Assistants dated February 28, 2024.
Tasks: academic support, especially:
- participant recruitment and study preparation
- participation in data collection and analysis,
- involvement in conducting fMRI and behavioral experiments
Requirements:
- student of psychology, medicine or related field
- ability to work responsibly and independently
- ability to work in a team
- excellent command of German and English
- experience in conducting psychological experiments and data analysis is preferred
