What to Expect
Interested in gaining unique hands-on experience in developing traffic infrastructure, parking lots, traffic areas for logistics operations and underground utilities that supply a factory? As an infrastructure engineer at Giga Berlin, you will be able to work in designing/optimizing the site, starting from creating concepts with internal stakeholders in the factory, developing a design according to German engineering standards following the framework of the german HOAI phases up until the execution of projects which you will personally be able to see from your future office.
You will be joining a team of highly driven engineers with a big scope, reach and potential impact on the factories efficiency in Giga Berlin.
Your day-to-day tasks will involve design, internal coordination, review and engineering contribution for various projects. If you have a strong background in civil and infrastructural engineering and are interested in this development, please consider applying.
What You'll Do
- Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, permitting design, schematic design, design development at various stages, construction documents and production, RFI and field validation work

Design development for underground utilities systems using C3D for Modelling

Perform design option analysis for cost efficiency, constructability, creating quantity lists (BoQ)

Produce graphic presentations and construction drawings

Support the hydraulic modelling of the site utility networks

Create technical and permit reports (e. g. water permit + BImSchG)

Collaborate with design teams, consultants, contractors, fabricators, authorities, vendors and others to meet overall project objectives

Assist with the review of requests for information and submittals during the construction execution phase of the project

Committed participation and proactive improvement of processes in the planning team
What You'll Bring
- Master’s degree in civil engineering, preferably with a focus on infrastructure planning or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability

Proficiency in 2D/3D engineering design software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D; Revit is a plus

Nice to have:
Knowledge of relevant German civil design related codes (DIN, FGSV, DWA, ASR, AwSV, WHG)
- Experience in coordinating with other engineering disciplines

Familiarity in working with permitting-, procurement-, construction/execution teams is a plus

Ability to work with non-clearly defined targets and minimum of information, in a dynamic work environment

Strong problem-solving skills and determination as well as a highly efficient way of working

English proficiency required, German proficiency is a plus
