Sweeps, mops, and cleans floors in dining facility; vacuums and shampoos rugs and carpeting where installed. Cleans woodwork, walls, shelving, windows and screens. Cleans tables and chairs, salad bar, coffee urns, milk and beverage dispensers, dishwashers and dish dispensers. Scours scrubs and washes pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Cleans work tables, refrigerators, hoods, grease filters, tenderizer, and doughnut fryers.
Serving area sets up food service counters, steam tables, and side service stands with hot and cold foods, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter and beverages. Refills sugar, salt and peppershakers, and napkin holders. Sets up and arranges dining room for service.
Kitchen Area. Washes, cleans, peels, slices or otherwise prepares fruits and able from raw food material to vegetal ready-to-cook or ready-to-serve form, using machines or manual methods.
Dishwashing area Scrapes and sorts soiled utensils and loads and unloads dishwasher. Maintains water and detergent levels in dishwasher; removes strainer pang, inspection doors, etc, for proper cleaning of dishwasher; removes calcium deposits as required and restores room to orderliness. Transports cleaned equipment, utensils, dishes, glasses, flatware and vessels to appropriate storage area.
Storage area Unloads incoming supplies trucks, and transports supplies to walk-in refrigerators or other storage rooms. Keeps refrigerators and storage area in a clean and sanitary condition.
Trash-and-Garbage-Area. Transports garbage cans to trash area. Washes garbage cans, covers with hot soapy water and rinses with hot water. Sorts into categories, if required. Maintains trash and garbage area in sanitary, orderly condition.
Latrine Area. Sweeps and washes floor scours and washes basins and urinals. Washes and polishes mirrors and metal and enamel surfaces. Washes and disinfects toilet areas. Washes and refills paper towels and soap dispensers. Empties waste baskets.
May be required to clean outside area, and remove ice and snow from sidewalks.
Performs other duties as assigned.
