This role plays a central part in ensuring Jacobs is prepared for, and responsive to, evolving sustainability related requirements, while supporting the Vice President, Global Head of Sustainability in delivering the broader sustainability agenda across the enterprise.
We are looking for a Corporate Sustainability Director – Governance, Policy & Regulation Readiness to help strengthen how we anticipate, interpret and respond to evolving sustainability requirements across our global business.
This is a senior enterprise role within our Global Corporate Sustainability team. You will help shape Jacobs’ sustainability policy framework, support regulatory readiness, integrate sustainability risks and opportunities into enterprise decision-making, and advise senior leaders on practical, commercially grounded responses to sustainability-related change.
You will work across functions including Sustainability, Legal, Enterprise Risk, Finance, HR, HSE, Supply Chain, Technology and Operations. The role is well suited to someone who can translate complex external requirements into clear business implications, proportionate governance, and practical action across a complex, multinational organisation.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor and interpret sustainability-related regulatory, policy and standards developments across key jurisdictions.
- Translate external developments into clear enterprise guidance, readiness actions and prioritised response plans.
- Own and evolve core enterprise sustainability policies, including sustainability, human rights, and social and economic inclusion policies.
- Work with contributors across the business to ensure sustainability policies remain current, credible and practical.
- Partner with Enterprise Risk to identify, assess and manage material sustainability impacts, risks and opportunities.
- Support high-quality sustainability impact, risk and opportunity disclosures in partnership with ESG reporting colleagues.
- Build the case for sustainability transformation by connecting sustainability objectives to enterprise value, efficiency, resilience and risk mitigation.
- Support business cases for technology and AI-enabled sustainability initiatives, aligned with responsible AI principles.
- Work with Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to support consistent implementation of sustainability requirements across the value chain.
- Provide strategic, analytical and governance support to the Vice President, Global Head of Sustainability, including input to executive and Board-level materials.
