For our R&D Center of Midea Europe in Stuttgart, we are looking for a hands-on Laboratory Technician to join our Washing Machines and Washer-Dryers Testing Laboratory within the Home Appliance sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing standardized energy and performance tests, preparing and handling prototypes, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the testing laboratory. The ideal candidate is a practical, physically fit, and detail-oriented technical professional who thrives in a structured, hands-on laboratory environment.

Conduct Standard Energy & Performance Testing: Execute standardized energy, water consumption, and performance tests on washing machines and washer-dryers according to official standards and internal protocols.

Prototype Support & Preparation: Assist engineering teams in building, modifying, and setting up prototypes for testing phases.

Physical Laboratory Operations: Handle the physical movement, positioning, and installation of heavy home appliances (washing machines and washer-dryers) within the laboratory space as required.

Document Results: Accurately record, manage, and report test data and parameters in accordance with internal quality standards.

Maintain Equipment & Workspace: Support the daily upkeep, connection, calibration, and proper setup of laboratory test rigs, water lines, and measurement equipment.

Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the local Laundry Care R&D team to support overall project timelines.

Education: Successfully completed vocational training or a degree from a technical school / technical high school / vocational college (e.g., CTA, MTA, Certified Technician, or similar)

Physical Capabilities: Willingness and physical ability to perform hands-on work, including lifting and moving heavy household appliances within a laboratory environment.

Technical Skills: Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, or plumbing connections (for appliance installation and prototype adjustments).

Work Style: Highly structured, reliable, and precise in following strict testing procedures and standard guidelines.

IT Skills: Good command of MS Office, particularly Excel for data logging.

Languages: Fluent in German and good communication skills in English.
