About the Role
We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our technical team in specialty cable manufacturing in Pleinfeld who will help shape and maintain reliable processes for high-performance products in Semiconductor and Aerospace cable solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with production and project teams to solve technical challenges, introduce new equipment and turn process data into practical shop-floor improvements. The role can fit both earlier-career engineers growing into broader responsibility and experienced engineers bringing deeper process expertise.
This is a hybrid position, and you can work from home in our location in Pleinfeld, Germany.
Responsibilities
Analyze and control manufacturing processes for stable, repeatable operations
Troubleshoot product, equipment, and process issues using root-cause analysis
Identify technical risks and implement corrective and preventive actions
Lead validations for product, process, material, and equipment changes
Project management for technical projects
Plan technical work using statistical methods including Design of Experiments (DoE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Partner with production and project teams to improve equipment and processes
Use data to improve process, machine, and equipment performance
Specify, validate, and transfer equipment into serial manufacturing
Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and qualification records
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field of study (STEM disciplines)
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Flexible team player with strong communication skills
Proactive and pragmatic approach to getting things done
Self-directed, systematic, and analytical way of working
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proven track record of effective troubleshooting in technical environments
Strong aptitude for quick learning and the ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies, processes and subject matter
Basic knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis and process optimization methodologies
Ability to travel up to 10 %
Desired Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Professional experience in the field of cable, cable assembly or printed circuit board production
Advanced knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis and process optimization methodologies
