The Role Electric Engineering Intern in Drive Unit will have extensive hands-on experience.
We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented intern to be responsible of improvements in overall equipment efficiency, product yield, cost, and cycle time to ensure continuous production and enable world-class manufacturing of Tesla’s cutting-edge Drive Units.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain a centralized library of electrical documentation.

Drive the implementation of equipment and machinery maintenance strategies.

Design and apply data-driven solutions for predictive maintenance.

Lead root cause analysis of electrical failures and machine breakdowns.

Advise on compliance with German electrical regulations and standards.

Coordinate and plan special maintenance activities and corrective repair campaigns.

Support supervisors in developing electrical qualification and upskilling programs for the maintenance team.

Collaborate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement organizational and technical improvements to maintenance workflows, tools, and system reliability.

Continuously improve preventive maintenance procedures and processes.
What You'll Bring

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Working knowledge of EPLAN or similar electrical CAD software is a plus.

Familiarity with PLC programming.

Strong proficiency in English and/or German, both written and spoken.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly across all levels of the organization.

Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
