NEURA's Computing Services team owns the full server, storage, and private cloud stack. As our Senior Private Cloud Engineer, you'll take full ownership of our private cloud environments — designing, operating, and evolving them as a platform that engineering and research teams can depend on. This is a role with real scope: end-to-end responsibility, full admin access across the stack, and a direct hand in shaping the private cloud environment at NEURA Robotics.
Your mission & challenges
Own and operate NEURA's private cloud infrastructure end-to-end — from cluster architecture through day-to-day platform management
Design and evolve the private cloud as an internal platform — standardised, self-service-capable compute for development, production, and research workloads across the company
Take responsibility for all layers the platform depends on, including virtualisation, networking (VLANs, routing, SDN), storage, and identity integration
Build and mature monitoring and observability across the platform, ensuring capacity transparency, alerting, and reliable incident detection
Drive infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible and Terraform; reduce manual toil through repeatable, auditable processes
Own hardware lifecycle management, capacity planning, and high availability design for on-premises compute
Work closely with Linux admins, Windows admins, and the storage engineer to define clean service boundaries within Computing Services
Help shape the Computing Services function — your technical decisions and working practices will set the standard
What we can look forward to
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
Several years of hands-on experience owning and operating private cloud or hypervisor platforms at a senior level — including clustering, high availability, and storage configuration; you have owned the platform, not just operated it
Strong Linux fundamentals at OS level — comfortable well below the hypervisor console
Networking depth: VLANs, routing, SDN concepts, and firewall policy, sufficient to own the network configuration your platform requires without external hand-holding
Experience delivering infrastructure as a self-service platform, or working in an IaaS/PaaS model for internal consumers
Automation mindset with practical experience in Ansible, Terraform, or comparable IaC tooling
Monitoring and observability experience relevant to compute infrastructure
English proficiency at B2 level or above — working language across a multicultural team
Relevant certifications (e.g. Nutanix NCP) are a plus
