We're looking for a graphic designer who can hold a few brand systems at once and also start something from scratch when a new project comes in. You should have solid craft, an eye for consistency, and be able to move between visual languages without the quality dropping. We also expect you to already use AI tools in your day-to-day work.
About the role
We are a small interdisciplinary team working across a range of clients and industries. A lot of the work is long-running: brands we look after over months and years, where the job is keeping things consistent and building on what already exists. The rest is shorter: campaigns, events, launches, new ventures finding an identity. Across both, the work covers events and live experiences, consumer products and e-commerce, and music and cultural material.
It's a hands-on role with ownership from the start.
What you'll work on
The balance shifts depending on which projects are active. Over time you can expect to touch most of this:
- Brand and identity: logos, colour systems, type, guidelines. Building brand kits so an identity scales cleanly across formats, and tightening up existing brands.
- Social and advertising: static creatives and ad sets, banners, campaign concepts adapted across sizes and placements.
- Event and on-screen graphics: graphics for live experiences and broadcast, schedules, overlays, large-format content, usually inside strict brand systems and tight production cycles.
- Packaging and print: packaging, booklets, flyers, print-ready files.
- Web and e-commerce: store and landing-page visuals, product imagery, content blocks, often alongside developers.
- Presentations and collateral: decks, templates, and turning messy multi-source material into something clean.
- Video and motion (bonus, not a requirement): simple motion or animation built from static designs.
You won't do all of these every week. Some months lean heavily on one area, others spread across several.
What you'll be responsible for
- Turning briefs into finished, on-brand deliverables. Briefs are sometimes detailed, sometimes rough.
- Working independently. We want someone who iterates without being asked, notices what's weak and fixes it, and comes back with options rather than one literal reading of the brief. If you have a better idea than the one in the brief, show us.
- Keeping things consistent across formats, channels and brands, usually with several brand systems in play at once.
- Producing organised, production-ready files for print, web, broadcast and social.
- Working to deadlines, including occasional fast turnarounds around events.
- Building templates and systems so the rest of the team can move faster.
Where this role goes
We'd like this to grow into full brand ownership over time:
- End-to-end responsibility for brands rather than individual assets.
- Writing and maintaining brand guidelines, and keeping a brand coherent as it scales.
- Reviewing and approving graphics, yours and other people's, against the brand and our standards.
- Setting visual direction and briefing in support when the workload calls for it.
Working with AI
We use AI across our workflows and expect you to do the same. In practice that might mean:
- Generative image and asset tools for ideation, backgrounds and exploration.
- Upscaling, background removal, cleanup and asset variation at scale.
- AI-assisted video editing and rough cuts.
- Templates and systems that let AI handle repetitive production.
- Trying new tools as they appear and bringing the useful ones into the workflow.
Who you are
- A designer with a portfolio showing work across at least a few of the areas above.
- Comfortable in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator; InDesign a plus) and/or Figma and Canva.
- Already using AI tools and interested in going further.
- Able to run with a brief and make decisions on your own.
- Organised with files and reliable with deadlines.
- A clear communicator, comfortable working remotely and asynchronously.
- Happy working inside an existing brand system, and happy starting a new one.
Junior candidates are welcome. Motivation, skill, taste and adaptability matter more to us than years of experience or a particular degree.
Nice to have: motion, animation or video editing, packaging and print production experience, web or e-commerce familiarity, and experience holding a brand together over time.
How to apply
Send us:
- Your portfolio (link or PDF). Ideally examples across more than one of: brand and identity, social and ads, event or on-screen graphics, packaging and print, web, presentations. Quality over quantity.
- Two or three short case notes (a few sentences each): what the brief was, what you did, what the result was. Tell us what was yours if it was a team effort.
- An AI note: a short paragraph or a few examples of how you've used AI tools in your actual design work. Which tools, for what, and what it changed.
- Practical details: preferred engagement (full-time, part-time or project-based), availability, time zone, and rate or salary expectations.
No need to over-polish the application. We'd rather see the work than a cover letter.
Shortlisted candidates will get two short, practical design challenges so we can see how you work. We'll share the details at that stage.
