Join a dynamic engineering product development team focused on industrial gas turbines for power generation! Each day, you will engage in both independent and collaborative work, tackling various engine component design projects, improvements, and technical challenges. Your role will involve leveraging cutting-edge design and analysis tools while collaborating with global resources to enhance technology. You will continuously learn through hands-on tasks, innovative thinking, and specialized courses, all while sharing ideas and results with colleagues and presenting to internal customers and stakeholders.
How You’ll Make an Impact

Contribute to the design of turbine hot gas path components, delivering critical thermal analyses and designs that achieve top-tier performance in efficiency, component life, robustness, and manufacturability

Enhance the tools landscape by improving classical heat transfer tools, tool chains, and automated workflows, identifying opportunities for AI/ML integration and providing follow-on support

Advance Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) 3D thermal design methodologies for new engines and upgrades, exploring new implementation approaches and methodologies

Play a vital role in engine and component testing, validating designs and analyses by preparing test predictions and conducting post-test data reduction and analyses
What You Bring
-
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field with a focus on thermo-fluid sciences

Several years of industrial experience in turbomachinery, thermal design of turbine hot gas path components, fluid systems, or comparable applications
-
Strong understanding of heat transfer principles and conjugate heat transfer (CHT)

More than five years of hands-on experience with FEA, CFD, and CAD tools

Proficiency in computational methods and programming languages such as APDL and Python
-
Excellent communication skills, business-fluent English & German

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
