We’re looking for a Lead Creative Strategist to own and scale the performance creative engine behind one of the fastest-growing DTC pet brands in DACH.
Performance creative is one of the core growth levers of the business. This role sits at the intersection of creative, media buying, consumer insight, and funnel strategy — turning ideas into scalable systems and high-performing campaigns.
You’ll lead the direction, testing strategy, and operational setup behind our paid social and direct response creative, while coordinating internal creatives and external production partners to keep output sharp, fast, and insight-driven.
Define the creative direction across paid social and advertorial funnels
Identify winning angles, hooks, mechanisms, narratives, and offers to test next
Translate performance insights and customer psychology into scalable creative concepts
Build testing hypotheses grounded in data, market awareness, and platform behavior
Own the creative testing roadmap and production pipeline end-to-end
Build repeatable systems that scale output without sacrificing quality
Develop workflows, feedback loops, and creative processes across the funnel
Create structure around creative learnings, iteration cycles, and knowledge sharing
Partner closely with performance marketing on creative strategy and scaling decisions
Shape landing pages, advertorial flows, messaging architecture, and funnel cohesion
Analyse creative performance deeply — hook rate, hold rate, CTR, thumbstop, CPA, ROAS, conversion behavior
Turn insights into clear next actions, briefs, and testing priorities
Coordinate the in-house content team (video editor, copywriter, performance marketing manager)
Manage external UGC creators, freelancers, and production partners
Raise the creative standard through strong direction, feedback, and iteration
Step in hands-on when needed — scripting, hooks, copy, or creative shaping
4+ years in Creative Strategy, Performance Creative, Direct Response, or Performance Copywriting — ideally in DTC / e-commerce
Proven track record scaling paid social creative profitably
You understand the full funnel: Hook · Mechanism · Offer · Story
Strong strategic thinking combined with operational execution
You’ve built or improved creative testing systems, not just individual ads
Strong briefing and feedback capability — you know how to guide creators toward performance
Comfortable balancing creative instinct with performance analysis
AI-native, not AI-curious. You’ve built real workflows using Claude Projects, custom GPTs, or similar tools across research, scripting, briefing, ideation, and analysis
Fluent English. German is a strong plus, but deep understanding of the DACH market matters more than perfect grammar
