We are looking for a hands-on Senior Test & Verification Engineer to help build and scale testing at Twentyfour Industries. This role sits at the intersection of software, hardware, and flight operations, with a strong focus on embedded and system-level debugging. You will work closely with the CTO and engineering teams to improve how we test designs early, verify integrated systems, qualify products, measure reliability, and make release decisions. The role spans flight testing, bench testing, HIL and test setups, software release and deployment workflows, test processes, and support for building a small high-performance test team over time.
-
Test Strategy & Verification: You define how new systems and features are verified: from requirements and test plans to clear release criteria.
-
Flight Testing: You plan and coordinate flight test campaigns for autonomous UAV systems, ensuring strict test discipline and professional debriefs.
-
Bench, HIL & Test Infrastructure: You set up bench tests, HIL setups, and integration rigs — from the subsystem level to the complete vehicle.
-
Embedded & System Debugging: You reproduce failures, isolate root causes, and work your way through the entire stack: firmware, flight stack, autonomy, ground systems.
-
Software Release & Deployment: You improve how software, firmware, and configurations are packaged, validated, and deployed across a growing fleet with true version control and rollback logic.
-
Reliability & Process Development: You establish methods for measuring system maturity and failure trends and ensure that findings are incorporated into real design improvements.
-
Background: A degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, robotics, or a related field — or you’ve gained this expertise through hands-on experience and can demonstrate it.
-
3–6 years of experience in testing, verification, system integration, or debugging complex technical systems, preferably in embedded systems, robotics, or cyber-physical systems.
-
Strong debugging skills: You find bugs in complex systems without losing your cool. Stack traces, logs, telemetry all tools, not obstacles.
-
Release & deployment expertise: You understand firmware release workflows, version control, and what it means to deploy software across many devices that aren’t in the lab.
-
Structured, but not bureaucratic: You bring testing processes up to a professional standard without drowning the team in checklists.
-
Clear communication: You can present technical findings in a way that keeps software, hardware, and ops teams all on the same page.
-
