Come Cook With Us!
We're a Korean BBQ restaurant and we're on the lookout for a solid line cook to join our team. If you take pride in your work, enjoy working in a professional kitchen, and value consistency and teamwork, we'd love to meet you.
Who we are
We're a multicultural team that genuinely enjoys working together. Respect is the foundation of everything we do — for each other, for the food, and for our guests. We believe a kitchen runs best when everyone has each other's back, and that's exactly the environment we've built. If you value being part of a team where everyone is treated with respect regardless of where they come from, you'll feel right at home here.
A bit about the role
We run a fixed menu, so a lot of the work revolves around tight mise en place and consistent execution. It's not a flashy creative position — but if you're someone who finds real satisfaction in doing the basics brilliantly, you'll fit right in here.
You will receive training on our systems, recipes, and standards. Once trained, you will be expected to confidently and independently run your station while maintaining quality, consistency, and food safety standards.
What you'll do
- Prepare and cook food according to company recipes and standards
- Operate commercial stoves, deep fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Prepare, cut, trim, portion, and handle various meats for service
- Plate and serve Korean BBQ dishes consistently and accurately
- Maintain mise en place and ensure your station is fully stocked and organized
- Follow food hygiene, food safety, and cross-contamination procedures at all times
- Keep your workstation clean and organized throughout your shift
- Independently manage your station after completing training
- Support the wider kitchen team as needed
What we're looking for
- Previous professional kitchen experience (this role is not suitable for beginners)
- Reliable and punctual — your team counts on you showing up
- Experience using stoves, deep fryers, and standard commercial kitchen equipment
- Experience preparing, trimming, portioning, and handling meat
- A genuine respect for food hygiene and cleanliness
- A quick learner who can absorb training and apply it consistently
- Someone who executes well, pays attention to detail, and stays calm under pressure
- Able to work independently once trained
- A team player who respects and supports the people around them — this one really matters to us
Bonus points if you speak Korean or another Asian language — not a requirement at all, but a lovely plus in our multicultural kitchen.
Heads up — honest info before you apply
We want to be upfront: this isn't a role for someone looking to grow into a head chef or put their creative mark on the menu. We have a fixed concept and we do it really well. The right person for this job is someone who genuinely enjoys the craft of consistent, quality kitchen work — and takes pride in that.
