Premium Event Staff for SMM Hamburg 2026
We are looking for professional, polished, and proactive Waitstaff / Servers to join our team for a high-end catering activation at SMM Hamburg, the world’s leading maritime trade fair.
You will be representing a premium brand, providing top-tier service to high-society guests and industry leaders. If you thrive in fast-paced, elegant environments, we want to hear from you!
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING EXPENSES Please read carefully before applying: This position is strictly local/on-call. We DO NOT provide or reimburse any travel costs, transportation fees, or accommodation expenses. Candidates must already reside in/near Hamburg or have their own pre-arranged, self-funded travel and lodging for the duration of the event.
Event Dates & Schedule
- Main Event: September 1st – September 4th, 2026.
- Pre-Event Setup: Candidates should be available on August 31st (the day before the fair opens) for a likely briefing, team introduction, and final stand setup.
The Role
- Tray Service: Circulating the stand with high-end appetizers and finger foods.
- Bar & Counter Support: Serving wine, crafting cocktails, and managing beverage service at our custom bar.
- VIP Hospitality: Ensuring a seamless, luxury experience for all visitors.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven background in high-end hospitality, catering, or fine dining.
- Languages: Fluency in English and German is essential. A basic knowledge of Italian is highly desirable.
- Skills: Professional tray-carrying skills and basic bar knowledge.
- Soft Skills: A proactive "can-do" attitude, exceptional punctuality, and maximum efficiency.
- Presentation: A polished, well-groomed appearance suitable for a high-society corporate environment.
