Staff RF Filter Design Engineer – SAW/BAW (m/f/d)

Qorvo Barcelona S.L. and Qorvo Munich GmbH are looking for a Senior or Staff RF Filter Design Engineer to join our teams and drive the development of state-of-the-art acoustic filters for 5G and beyond .
Your Role
You will contribute to the design and development of SAW/BAW components in RF front-end modules, from concept to high-volume manufacturing, leveraging Qorvo’s advanced filter technologies.
Your Responsibilities
Design and development of RF acoustic SAW/BAW filters up to 6 GHz for advanced mobile applications
Perform acoustic and electromagnetic optimization within RF front-end environments
Apply RF co-design techniques, considering interaction with PAs, LNAs, and switches
Integrate filters into RF front-end modules in close collaboration with cross-functional design teams
Conduct device characterization and diagnostics using state-of-the-art RF measurement equipment
Drive design-for-manufacturability and support product transfer to high-volume production
Improve and evolve design methodologies, simulation flows, and development efficiency
Take ownership of device performance and optimization for high-volume handset applications
Required Qualifications
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Strong background in RF design, modeling, and characterization
Solid understanding of S-parameters, impedance matching, and RF measurements
Experience in SAW or BAW design, MEMS design or RF front-end module design
Familiarity with RF simulation tools like ADS, AWR, and HFSS
Understanding of microfabrication and high-volume manufacturing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
