About the Position
To support the day-to-day operations of our German subsidiary, we are looking for a Part-Time Commercial Operations Specialist.
The position mainly covers day-to-day commercial administration, local operational coordination and document management.
This role does not require professional accounting, tax or legal decision-making. For such matters, the company follows the advice of its German tax advisor, legal counsel and other professional service providers, together with the relevant internal requirements of the Group.
We particularly value professional experience in Germany, strong German communication skills, reliability, accuracy and the ability to independently manage and follow up on day-to-day tasks.
Key Responsibilities
· Handle daily business correspondence, invoices, documents and general administrative matters;
· Collect, organize and archive invoices, bills and other relevant documentation;
· Prepare, submit and supplement monthly accounting documentation according to the requirements of the company and our German tax advisor, and follow up on related matters;
· Communicate by email and phone with insurance companies, public authorities, property management, suppliers and other local service providers;
· Support basic employee and HR administration;
· Assist with company vehicles, insurance and other day-to-day operational matters;
· Organize and maintain contracts and other important company records;
· Follow up on assigned matters and provide timely updates on progress and results;
· Escalate matters requiring professional judgment or management decisions to the appropriate internal contact or external professional advisor;
· Support other day-to-day commercial and operational tasks as required.
Requirements
· Practical professional experience working in a company in Germany and familiarity with the German business environment;
· Good working German, with the ability to independently understand and handle German correspondence and communicate confidently by phone and email;
· Experience in commercial administration, office management, kaufmännische Verwaltung, Sachbearbeitung or a comparable role;
· Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and standard office applications;
· A structured, accurate and reliable working style with good document management skills;
· Strong sense of responsibility and the ability to follow assigned matters through to completion;
· Ability to work independently and distinguish between routine operational matters and issues requiring further confirmation or management decisions;
· Good judgment in escalating unclear or professional matters rather than making decisions outside the scope of the role;
· Good Chinese communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working in a German SME, trading company or the automotive industry;
· Experience coordinating routine documentation or operational matters with German tax advisors, insurance companies, public authorities, suppliers or other local service providers;
· Experience with SAP or other business management systems;
· Good working knowledge of English.
Salary and Working Arrangement
· Salary from €1,200 gross per month;
· Approx. 12 hours per week, ideally spread over three working days;
· Exact working hours can be discussed based on mutual availability;
· Final salary will depend on relevant professional experience, German language skills, previous responsibilities and ability to work independently;
· A higher salary can be discussed for candidates with strong relevant experience and an excellent fit for the position;
· We are looking for a stable, long-term working relationship.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a reliable, well-organized and experienced colleague who can independently take responsibility for part of the day-to-day operations of our German company.
Working independently in this role does not mean making every decision independently. We value people who can efficiently handle routine matters on their own, while also recognizing when an issue requires further clarification and escalating it to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
Academic qualifications and job titles are not our primary criteria. We place greater emphasis on practical experience, reliability, execution and sound judgment.
If you have professional experience in Germany and are looking for a stable, long-term part-time position with flexible working hours where you can make good use of your experience, we look forward to hearing from you.
